PDAStore you can organize your "personal knowledge base", a "movie index", recipes, etc. PDAStore stores data in so called "stores". A store is just a file with extension ".pdas". You can organize your stores using categories.
Under categories you can create so called "entries". You can add and rename categories every time. Of course you can add, rename and delete entries every time.
Since v1.2 you can move an entry from one category to another.
PDAStore offers a powerful search feature which is a full-text search.
There also exists a desktop application (command line) called PDASCMD (PDAStore Command) which helps you to convert existing data to the PDAStore file format. But PDASCMD also offers the possibility to dump/export from PDAStore file format to text or HTML. For detailed information visit hfrmobile.com!
Main features:
Version 1.x limitations:
You can use categories to structure your stores. For example you may name your categories as follows:
You can only delete a category if there are no entries in that category.
You can use so called "entries" to store data in your store. An entry has a unique name within its category and a text content.
This topic describes the general usage and behavior of PDAStore.
All forms (Edit Categories, Edit Entries, Search etc.) have an OK button (caption) and a Close menu. The OK button saves changed data and closes the current form and selects the category and/or entry which was selected in the form. The Close menu discards changes to the data and also closes the form but selects the category and entry which was previously selected.
If you like to rename an entry or category and the new name only differs in case you can use the following little trick: In order to rename "TEST" to "Test" firstly rename "TEST" to "Test2" and then to "Test". Otherwise you will get the message that the entry already exists!
Menu items, buttons and all other controls are only available if it makes sense. For example the Apply button will only be enabled if you have changed the entry text.
If displaying or hiding the SIP (software input panel) the form controls adjusts so that all controls are visible even the SIP is displayed.
The Apply button only saves the current entry into memory. If you like to save your changes permanently use File|Save menu item! This menu item is only available if there are changes to save.
Trial version: If you are using a trial version of PDAStore and the trial version expires you will not loose your data of course! In order to use PDAStore again in order to view/edit/search your data you have the following options:
If no category is selected all entries in all categories will be searched. The search text must contain two or more characters. The search result will be listed in the list view. If selecting an entry in the list view and pressing the OK button the entry will be displayed.
If the search result contains too many items or if you like to search in entry names only you can use the Options to enable or disable some options. Following options are available:
All options are enabled by default.
