Sony Ericsson T610

Since I am still using the LOOX 600 I need to use a mobile phone (T610) to connect to the internet (via Bluetooth or IrDA). BTW, I don't really know if the "GPRS Module"for the LOOX 600 was available in Europe but it was no solution for me anyway.
I used the following "accessories" with my T610:
  • MPF-10 (Sony Ericsson MPF-10 Mobile Flash)
  • BH-005
Previous devices: Nokia 8210, SE T68

MPF-10 Even it's called a "mobile flash" it isn't really a flash. It's just a "camera light"! There exists two version of the MPF-10. One version has just one LED and the other (newer) version has 6 LED's.

I am using the device with 6 LED's. It is a nice toy but not more ;-)

BH-005 A "free speech" device using Bluetooth to communicate with the T610.

BH-005

BH-005

Works but there are two annoying problems:
1. If there is an incoming call the BH-005 or T610(?) accepts this call without interaction of the user. So the user has no chance to reject an incoming call
2. Often the name is not spoken of an incoming call even it is correctly configured at the T610. It seems that BH-005 or T610(?) is too slow because sometimes I hear the last part of the name (e.g. "Mr. Testing" --> "...sting")

Firmware R6C005

In order to view the firmware version on a T610 use the following procedure:
  1. Turn of key lock if locked
  2. >*<<*<* (the < and > are the joystick directions and * is the * a/A key)
  3. If you have done 1. and 2. correctly a menu appears called "Service": Service info > SW−Info

As I bought my T610 a year ago there was version R1???? on it. I have done the software update within a year so the upgrade was free of charge!

Recommended software floAt's Mobile Agent:
FMA

Seems to be really good software even it is developed in Delphi ;-)

Not recommended software XTNDConnectPC is disappointing in every aspect! It is not deterministic what this thing really does... If you need to destroy data on both sides (e.g. T610 and Outlook) or if you like to double all contacts; just use it ;-)
